to Mexico, seeking to convince the state's third largest agricultural customer

IDOA AND AG INDUSTRY PARTNER TO PROVIDE WEB-BASED ANHYDROUS AMMONIA SAFETY TRAINING
The department and Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association (IFCA) jointly provide training programs for employees of retail anhydrous ammonia facilities, who are required to be trained every three years. But to address the critical need to improve ammonia safety when farmers are handling the product, the department, IFCA, Illinois Corn Growers Association (ICGA) and Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) collaborated to develop a detailed web- based training program for farmers.

In addition, the DOA maintains foreign offices in Hong Kong and Mexico to assist Illinois companies overseas. Illinois is also a member of the twelve-state Food Export Association-Midwest. By utilizing this private, non-profit association, DOA is positioned to increase international exports in addition to the state-sponsored Food Export activities.
